Bonnie “Dogie” Charlene Phillips Marcantel was born July 9, 1938, and passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025.
She is survived by her children, Susanne Spry, James Marcantel, Raymond Marcantel, Curtis Marcantel, Gregory Paul “Pete” Marcantel; numerous grandchildren; and her brother, Donald Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington and Ethel Gibson Phillips; brothers, Buddy Phillips and Terry Phillips.
The family, friends, and all musicians are invited for a celebration with live music from 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday, June 5, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment to follow at Fountain Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
