Archie “Rufus” Stanley was born Aug. 25, 1942, and passed away Saturday, Apr. 12, 2025, at the age of 82.
He is survived by his daughters, Darla Brantley and husband Robert, and Debbie Wiley and husband Curt; grandchildren, Leanne, Amanda, Robert Jr., Tabitha, Crissa, Brianna, and Dusty; 13 great grandchildren; and sisters, Nora Stanley and Daisy Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Stanley; and 11 siblings.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 16, with the funeral service being held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 17, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Randy Hennigan and Rev. Roy Hoosier will be officiating. Interment to follow at Miller Annex in Starks.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
