Rev. L.G. Poe was born Apr. 5, 1943, and passed away Sunday, Mar. 30, 2025, at the age of 81.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Poe; daughters, Wyvette McLendon and husband Steve, Lori Brown and husband Dale, Dorothy Lutka and husband Joe; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sisters, Beverly Nickles and husband Harold, and Connie Hardin and husband Paul.
He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Evelyn Roberts; parents, Myrtle and Willis Poe; brothers, Bobby Poe and Perry Poe; and sister, Laverne Derebery.
The family received friends from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., Monday, Apr. 7, at First United Pentecostal Family Church in Cleburne, Texas. Interment followed at Bono Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
