James Ray Everett was born Oct. 5, 1961, and passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at the age of 63.
James proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. He also served as a police officer for Sulphur Police Department and Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office. He enjoyed drawing and gaming. More than anything he loved his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Everett; siblings, Jeffery Everett and wife Ann, Shannon Everett and wife Stephanie, Branson Everett, and Lalinda Everett; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Everett.
Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
