THE BOARD of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on October 8, 2024 for the following purpose:
Chairman, Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Tracey Brown, Shirley Bagwell, Brooke Burge
Absent: Darlene Hooker
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from September 12, 2024 were reviewed. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the minutes and Tracey Brown seconded. All approved. Motion carried.
The financial report for August 2024 was presented and discussed. Tracey Brown made a motion to approve the financial report as presented and Lynne Treme seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried.
The progress of the drainage repairs on Logan Lane is looking good. Completion should be this week.
Geaux Flow Plumbing is repairing the sewer system under the concrete slab at unit 129 Acme Dr. One of the connections under the concrete had a snag that was causing the backup inside the unit. The pipe was dug out and repaired.
The parking lot striping and numbering was started on October 7, 2024.
Mayor Riley Smith appointed Amber Landry as the resident board member.
Lynne Treme made a motion to present the 3 employees with a bonus for an outstanding job in FYE 9/30/2024 and to show the board’s appreciation for their hard work and dedication. Tracey Brown seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried. Res # 1023
The vacancy report was presented by Brooke Burge.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared the meeting adjourned.
