Larry Burnitt was born May 9, 1961, and passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024, at the age of 63.
He is survived by his son, Jacob Burnitt and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Hailey, Branson, and Evie; mother, Asolete Stanley Burnitt; sisters, Dora Parker and husband Johnny, and Donna Matthews and husband Danny; and brothers, Steve Burnitt and Eddie Burnitt and wife Karen; along with numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Burnitt; father, Sherwood Burnitt; brother, Eb Burnitt; and sister-in-law, Vivian Marie Burnitt.
The family received friends from 4 – 7 p.m. with the funeral service being held at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9, at Hargrove Pentecostal Church. A prayer service was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Hargrove Pentecostal Church. Interment followed at Riley Smith Memorial Park.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
