Lisa Burgess was born Dec. 10, 1964, and passed away Thursday, Mar. 28, 2024, at the age of 59.
She is survived by her companion, Wesley “Peanut” Stains; children, Wallace Burgess and wife Dawanna, Tabitha West and husband James, Kimberly Young and husband Justin, Rachel Royer and husband Corey, Shonda Mathews, Wesley Stains and wife Mikayla, Joseph Stains and wife Danyal, and Austin Stains; numerous grandchildren; and brothers, Greg Cooley and wife Tammy, and Scott Cooley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Clyo Cooley; and her brother, Duane Cooley.
The family received friends from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Apr. 2, at the First Pentecostal Church in Ragley. Pastor Sean Chisholm officiated. Interment followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
