Joseph Starrel Ryder was born Oct. 11, 1942, and passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at the age of 81.
He is survived by his children, Kevin Ryder, Sandy Ryder, and Tiffany Rose and husband Paul; grandchildren, Allie Montet and husband Charles, Tiara Erwin, Mallory Burge, Alyssa Burge, Toni Daigle, and Jeremy Daigle; numerous great-grandchildren; and his brother, Donald Ryder.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Rosabelle Ryder; and siblings, Ferdie Ryder and Buddy Ryder.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. with the service beginning at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Bro. Paul Rose will be officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
