Edgar H. Stanley, 95, was born Oct. 24, 1930, and passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2026.
He is survived by his children, James Stanley, Keith Stanley (Jeanette), and Greg Stanley (Kristen); grandchildren, Rhonda Ship, Candace Stanley, Misty Chester (Charles), Jessica Stanley, Blake Stanley, Cull Stanley (Melissa), and Cray Stanley; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Suchanek, Ethan Montrand, Bowan Beltcher, James Beltcher, Madeline Ship, Molly Gordon, Chayla Chester, Emma Chester, Wynn Chester, Cecile Stanley, and Violet Stanley; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Frankie Brandon and Karrie Williams; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Stanley; children, Ronnie Stanley and Charlotte Ship; grandchildren, Jason Ronald Stanley and Meagan Stanley; parents, Willie and Pearl Bass Stanley; brothers, Charlie Satnley, Shorty Stanley and Jasper Stanley; sisters, Martha Johnson and Gladys Perkins.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, and continuing from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at First Pentecostal Church in Starks. Pastor Karl Smith will be officiating. Interment to follow at Miller Annex Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
