It was a very hot and humid afternoon as the DeQuincy Tigers and the South Beauregard Golden Knights battled on the scorching hot artificial turf at Sam Houston High School to start the Bolton Ford Jamboree.
The Tigers and Knights quickly became dehydrated but DeQuincy just could not seem to get in a rhythm offensively turning the ball over twice and only having three first downs which gave South Beau plenty of momentum to work with as they would take full advantage of DeQuincy’s mistakes in route to a 27-0 win.
Despite not having a great showing, the Tigers have to quickly put it in the rearview mirror as they quickly prepare for the regular season on a short week as they will welcome in the Grand Lake Hornets.
