Mitchell to run for Justice of the Peace

Tiffany Parker Mitchell has announced that she is a candidate for Justice of the Peace for District 1 of Beauregard Parish.

District 1 is more than just a place on a map to her—it is home. It encompasses the communities of Fields, Singer and Oretta, along with the portions of DeQuincy located in Beauregard Parish. These are the communities that shaped her, her family, and the values she carries with her today.

She was raised near the Fields community by her parents, the late Hansel Parker and Nonie Perkins Parker. She graduated from Hyatt High School in 2002, and her roots in this area run deep. After high school, Mitchell attended SOWELA and earned a nursing degree. She has worked in nursing on and off for the past 20 years and now works in the legal field. She is also a Louisiana Notary Public.

She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Kyle Mitchell, for almost 22 years. Together, they have four children—Kane, Jaxon, Sage, and Jett. After they married, the Mitchells made their home near the Oretta area, and for the past seven years, they have been proud to call Singer home.

Mitchell’s life has been centered around family, faith, work, and community. She has had the privilege of working with people from many different walks of life, and those experiences have taught her the importance of listening, showing compassion, keeping her word, and treating every person with dignity and respect.
