The DeQuincy Civic Club is preparing for their Annual Parade of Homes and Taste of the Holidays event. During this event, you have the opportunity to tour beautifully decorated homes and sample holiday fare prepared by club members.
This tour will set the mood for holiday spirit as your neighbors share their homes with you. During the tour, you may see a Christmas tree in every room or get a glimpse of decorations that have been handed down for generations.
The club is looking for participants to include their home in this annual event. You can decorate your homes to your liking, and there are no stipulations on decorating. The Parade of Homes Event is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 12, from 3 – 7pm.
No one will be allowed in your home without a ticket, and then, they will be escorted on the tour by a Beta Club member. No one will be allowed without an escort.
The Civic Club members prepare dishes, and ticket holders get to sample the fare, and also receive a cook book with each recipe you’ve tasted.
Proceeds are used for scholarships. The DeQuincy Civic Club meets monthly, with an extra meeting right before the event, and is looking for new members
