The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on July 14, 2026 for the following purpose:
Chairman, Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Tracey Brown, Lynne Treme, Diana DeLoach, Amber Landry, Shirley Bagwell, Brooke Burge
Absent: None
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from June 9, 2026 were reviewed. Tracey Brown made a motion to approve the minutes and Lynne Treme seconded. All approved. Motion carried.
The financial reports May and June 2026 were presented and discussed. The year-to-date actuals were compared to the year-to-date budget. After discussion, Tracey Brown made a motion to approve the financial reports as presented and Amber Landry seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried.
The 2027 Operating Fund Budget was presented and discussed. After discussion, Tracey Brown made a motion to accept the Operating Fund Budget as presented and Amber Landry seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried. Res # 1045
Only one proposal was received for the installation of security cameras covering the areas behind all units and the front of the office. Acadian Total Security submitted a proposal for the installation of 5 poles, 17 cameras, a 64-channel Intel receiver/recorder which includes all materials and labor. After discussion, Lynne Treme made a motion to accept the proposal from Acadian Total Security and Tracey Brown seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried. Res # 1046
The vacancy report was presented by Brooke Burge.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared the meeting adjourned.
