Glen “Sharkey” Parker, Jr. was born Aug. 4, 1961, and passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the age of 64.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Parker; daughter, Brittany Parker; eight stepchildren; numerous step grandchildren; siblings, Maria “Pebbles” Parker, Elijah “Bubba” Parker and wife Lou, Cathy Fontenot and husband John, Larry Parker, and Linda Fitzgerald; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Nettie Parker; sister, Nelda “Cricket” Duncan; and niece, Amanda Duncan.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m., Monday, July 27, and continued from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Bro. Mike Streams officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
