Gary Dykes Goodman, 89, of DeQuincy, died on Sunday, June 7, 2026. He was born in DeQuincy. He retired from U.S. Steel Corporation.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Goodman; three children, Dean Goodman (Kim) of DeQuincy, Darrell Goodman (Lisa) of DeQuincy, and Jill Young (Marcus) of Lake Charles; his grandchildren, Josh Goodman, Jake Goodman (Breanne), Daiken Goodman, and Cole Goodman; along with his great-grandson, Benjamin Goodman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date under the direction of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home.
