Former Merryville standout C. J. Hudson has been named the new head football coach at South Beauregard High School after Brad Kellogg left to take over the Westlake Rams just a couple of months ago.
Hudson is a 2001 graduate of Merryville High School where he had an outstanding athletic career. He then continued his education at McNeese State University where he graduated in 2005 with a major in management. He began his coaching career as an assistant at South Beauregard from 2008-2020, while during his first stint at SBHS he again graduated from McNeese State University with a masters in educational leadership, he then joined the coaching staff at Westlake from 2020-2024 before returning to South Beauregard as the offensive coordinator in 2024 and has been on staff since.
C.J. and his wife Jana have three wonderful children, Hallie, Kenadie, and Lincoln.
We would like to wish Coach, Hudson and his Knights the best of luck this upcoming season!
