Carolynn Jo Watson Sharp died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 82.
She was born in Merryville. She graduated from Merryville High School and later earned her degree from McNeese State University. She was a kindergarten teacher.
She was a member of both Green Oak Baptist Church and Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Merryville, as well as a counselor for Campers on Mission.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Sharp; parents, Stella Swilley Watson and Alvin Watson; and three siblings.
She is survived by her two sons, Mac Sharp and Marty Sharp; and sister, Julia Porter.
Services were held at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder on Saturday, June 14 . Burial followed at Bivens Cemetery.
