Local players participated in All-Star game
Three local baseball players competed in the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association underclassmen series in Monroe last weekend at ULM.
DeQuincy’s Grant Rainwater, South Beauregard’s Alex Baggett and Jed Henry were among other southwest Louisiana players on the West team.
No stats are available from the games. However there were quite a few college scouts in attendance at this showcase tournament so it’s great exposure for our young athletes!
Two Tigers earn All-State honors
Two DeQuincy Tigers were named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association 2025 Class 2A All-State
Andrew Dowden was named first team Catcher and Carson Rainwater was named first team Utility.

South Beau players make All-State
Three South Beauregard Baseball players have earned All-State honors, Luke Brister, Jed Henry and Christian Wold were all named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’ Class 3A All-State team.
All three were named honorable mention.

Three South Beauregard Lady K’s Softball players have earned All-State honorable mention for the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’ Class 3A team.
Addi Daigle, Camryn Jackson and Aubrianne Redditt received these honors.
