CITY OF DEQUINCY
ORDINANCE NO. 992
THE CITY Council of the City of DeQuincy, State of Louisiana, met in regular session on the 12th day of May, 2025, and adopted the following Ordinance as an amendment to Chapter 18- Streets and Sidewalks and Public Places, Article ll Excavations, Sec 18-20 of the City Ordinance code.
WHEREAS, the City of DeQuincy desires to update and modernize its Code of Ordinances regarding Chapter 18- Streets and Sidewalks and Public Places, Article ll Excavations, Sec 18-20 of the City Ordinance Code of the City of DeQuincy, Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council that Chapter 18- Streets and Sidewalks and Public Places, Article ll Excavations, Sec 18-20 of the City Ordinance Code of the City of DeQuincy, Louisiana, amended as follows:
Sec. 18-20. – Application for permit; fee.
The application for a permit required by this article shall contain such information as the superintendent of public works deems necessary and shall be accompanied by a fee of $100.00 (one hundred dollars). The city has the right to refuse a permit for just cause.
Be it further ordained that all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.
Said Ordinance having been introduced on the 14th day of April 2025, by notice of Public Hearing having been published on the 7th day of May 2025, said Public Hearing having been held on 12th day of May 2025, title having been read and Ordinance considered, on motion by Jim Smith seconded by Scott Wylie to adopt the Ordinance. A record vote was taken, and the following result was had:
