THE BOARD of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on March 11, 2025 for the following purpose:
Chairman, Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Tracey Brown, Amber Landry, Shirley Bagwell, Brooke Burge
Absent: Diana DeLoach
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from January 27, 2025 were reviewed. Tracey Brown made a motion to approve the minutes and Lynne Treme seconded. All approved. Motion carried.
The financial report for December 2024 was presented and discussed. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the financial report as presented and Tracey Brown seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried.
The updated Rent Collection Policy was presented and discussed. There is a change on the time period for evictions for non-payment of rent. The 14-day notice has been changed to a 30-day notice to comply with HUD regulations. Tracey Brown made a motion to approve the updated rent collection policy as presented and read. Amber Landry seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried. Res # 1028
The vacancy report was presented by Brooke Burge.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared the meeting adjourned.
