EXCERPT OF MINUTES,
PROCES VERBAL,
AND RESOLUTION
THE BOARD of Commissioners of Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One, Calcasieu Parish, State of Louisiana, met at its regular meeting place located at Company No. 2 Fire Station, 108 Marcantel Road, DeQuincy, Louisiana, on Tuesday, the 12TH day of March 2025, at 7:00 o’clock P.M., with the following members present:
Bobby Cholley, Charley Jones, George Mitchell
Absent were: Jeron Scott Kyle
The meeting was called to order and the roll called with the above result.
The President stated that the purpose of the meeting was to examine and canvass the returns of the election held on December 7, 2024, in the district; to preserve a proces verbal of the canvass and to promulgate the result of the election.
The Board of Commissioners canvassed the returns of the election and after receiving the compiled statement of votes and results of the voting machines from the Clerk of Court attached to and made part hereof as Exhibit A. On the motion of George Mitchell, seconded by Charley Jones, the board presented the following Proces Verbal, which was adopted by the following vote:

On this 12TH day of March 2025, at 7:00 o’clock P.M., the Board of Commissioners met at its regular meeting place located at Company No. 2 Fire Station, 108 Marcantel Road, DeQuincy, Louisiana. The Board received the compiled statement of votes and results of the voting machines from the Clerk of Court for the election held in the District on December 7, 2024, and canvassed the votes on the following proposition:
WARD SIX FIRE
PROTECTION
DISTRICT NO. ONE
Shall Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One, of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, (the “District”), be authorized to renew, levy and collect a special tax of 12.25 mills on all property subject to taxation in the District for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2026 and ending with the year 2035, with collections from the renewed levy estimated to be $483,752.00 for one entire year, for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining, and operating the Fire District’s fire protection facilities, including paying the cost of obtaining water for fire protection purposes?
Upon the examination and canvass of the returns it was determined that the election result was as follows:

Absentee Votes: 73, 16
GRAND TOTAL: 233, 85
It was therefore ascertained that the majority of the electors voting at the election in the Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One on the Proposition voted for the Proposition. Therefore, the Board of Commissioners of the District declared that the result of the election is for the proposition.
The Actual cost of the election as determined by the Secretary of State is $703.78.
A resolution promulgating the election results was adopted, and the President was ordered to have the resolution distributed, published and recorded according to law. The motion to adopt this resolution was made by George Mitchell and seconded by Charley Jones.
It was adopted by the following vote:

I certify that the attached document is a true copy of an excerpt from the minutes and of a proces verbal of a meeting of the Board of Commissioners held on March 12, 2025, showing that the Board canvassed the returns of the election, preserved a proces verbal of the canvass and adopted a resolution promulgating the results of the election.
