Elsa Mandado Billeaudeau, born on Mar. 4, 1931, in the vibrant city of Havana, Cuba, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Mar. 29, 2025, in Lake Charles. Elsa’s life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and an undeniable zest for life that touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Elsa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Billeaudeau Jr.; and her cherished sisters: Anna Mandado Vondenstein, Irma Mandado Poin, Olga Mandado Herrera, and Raquel Mandado Willem; yet her legacy continues through her devoted daughter, Karen Billeaudeau Weinmann (Robert); her grandchildren, Brian Hanchey (Ruth), Scott Hanchey (Laura), and Kristen Hanchey; and her great-grandchildren, Peyton, Nora, and Lola Hanchey.
Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
