Tigers shut out Vinton
Last Thursday Mar. 20, the DeQuincy Tigers hosted the Vinton Lions in District 4-2A action. But it would be the home standing Tigers who were victorious as pitcher Turner Rodriguez was spectacular on the mound going 6.2 innings only allowing 4 hits. He recorded a season high 15 strikeouts. His defense backed him up as well playing complimentary baseball which aided Rodriguez in completing the shutout over their arch rival.
The Tigers’ bats were just as good as Big Red would collect 13 hits.
