Robert C. “Bobby” Hooper, 76, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, Mar. 4, 2025 at his residence.
Born in Lake Charles, he served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Pipefitter Local 106, where for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Mae Martin Hooper of Lake Charles; children, Julie “Candie” Morris (Kevin) of Lake Charles, Krista Hooper of St. Louis, Mo., and Katie Hooper of Lake Charles; brother, David Hooper of Lake Charles; sisters, Wanda Thigpen of Moss Bluff, Leah Romain of Ragley, and Kathy Louviere of Moss Bluff; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ophelia and Harry Hooper.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Mar. 8, at the Apostolic Temple. Pastor Ricky Treece officiated. Burial followed in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
