Norris Hewitt Autrey Jr was born on Dec.1, 1944, and went to be with his Lord and Saviour Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at home, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Many to Norris Hewitt Autrey Sr and Erma Stroud Autrey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Geri Autrey; son, Wesley Schirmer, and his wife Risa; daughter, Jennifer Willett, and her husband Shannon; son, Tony Autrey; sister, Carolyn Von Haefen, and her husband Gary; grandchildren, Nate Willett, Faith Snyder, Cheyann Fontenot, Ethan Willett, Kenny Schirmer, Brianna Willett; two great grands, Alissa and Ellie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family wishes to thank Harbor Hospice, especially nurses Ginger Harbert and Callie East, as well as the Crossroads family and Pastor Rob Tibbitts.
In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to Crossroads Baptist Church in his memory.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of the service at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Crossroads Baptist Church, 1845 Hwy 109 S, Vinton. Pastor Rob Tibbitts will officiate.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St, DeQuincy.
