ORDINANCE NO. 984
THE CITY Council of the City of DeQuincy, State of Louisiana, met in regular session on the 13th day of January, 2025, and adopted the following Ordinance to meet the requirements of the rate study for the sewer rates increase effecive February 1, 2025.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of DeQuincy, in legal session convened, amend sewer rates.
A rate study was completed of the sewer rates for a lift station grant. From the rate study a mandatory rate increase must occur on February 1, 2025. The rate will be set by the rate study mandatory amount.
A increase each year of 4% or by mandatory amount increase will begin October 2025. This rate increase will be for residential and commercial customers. The rate will be set by the rate study mandatory amount.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that all other parts and provisions of the sewer rates shall remain in full force and effect.
Said Ordinance having been introduced on the 9th day of December, 2024, notice of Public Hearing having been published on the 8th day of January, 2025, said Public Hearing having been held on the 13th day of January, 2025 with the title having been read and Ordinance considered on motion by Cameron Smith, seconded by Jim Smith to adopt the Ordinance. A record vote was taken, and the following result was had:

This Ordinance was declared duly adopted this 13th day of January, 2025 and will be effective February 1, 2025.
