The Starks Panthers Boys Basketball team began District 5-C action at last Tuesday against their rivals the Singer Hornets.
The game was tied 48-48 going into the 4th quarter but the Panthers made an adjustment and an 8 point cushion is all they needed to hold off the Hornets as Starks would win 73-65.
Cole Doucet led the scoring for the Panthers with 31 points, Braden Holloway had 16 points, Cody Harrison had 11 points, Kaison Howard had 7 points, Kylan Beniot had 6 points, and Nate Gore had 2 points.
Kohlson Moore led the scoring for the Hornets with 24 points, Avery Mitchell had 20, Aidan Tompkins had 10, Kaiden Richard had 6, Cassian Cooley had 3, and Jasper Stephens had 2.
Starks will travel to Singer on Thursday, Jan. 30.
