Brenda Karr has been named Branch Manager of the Calcasieu Parish Library DeQuincy Branch.
Karr is a graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration and Supervision.
She retired after serving 30 years as a teacher. During her career as a teacher she was named DeQuincy Elementary Teacher of the Year.
Karr has three children, Whitnee, Charlcee, and Karlee and eight grandchildren. She is the daughter of Lillian Karr and the late Jimmy Karr.
