C. J. Johnson was born July 5, 1932, and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, at the age of 92.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Stewart and husband, Larry, Cathy Gross and husband, Lenny, and Anita Marie Doyle; grandchildren, Charlie Johnson and wife Rebecca, Carlton “BB” Johnson, Jr., Mark Aaron Johnson and wife Jackie, Clayton Johnson, David Johnson, Danny Lynn Johnson and wife Jessica, Brittany Gonzalez and husband Dariel, Bobby Stewart, April Serrano and husband Tony, Summer Daughtery, Robert Paul Daughtery, Christopher Chandler, Ty Chandler and wife Liz, Whitney Walker and husband Herschel, Cassidy Doyle; along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Clydene Adams.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Hyatt Johnson; children, Carlton Wayne Johnson, Sr., Mary Denise Daughtery and Lisa Lee Chandler; parents, Charles and Ozella Johnson; and siblings, Donald Johnson, Audrey Mae, Charlene, Shelia Ray Barrow, and Dan Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Dolton Kovac, Larry Stewart, Herschel Walker, Danny Johnson, and Jonathon Johnson.
Family will receive friends 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 29, with the funeral service being held 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, at Calvary Apostolic Church, Starks. Pastor Jeremy Shields will be officiating. Interment to follow at Hyatt Cemetery, Fields.
