The Merryville Panthers did not have the ideal homecoming falling to the Oberlin Tigers 28-20 and dropping to 0-2 in District 4-1A action.
Merryville hung tough for all four quarters but Oberlin made a few more big plays near the end that made the difference.
The Panthers will host the Grand Lake Hornets tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Keener Cagle Memorial Stadium.
