The Great Scarecrow Competition and Tour has begun. Help decorate our town. The DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce is encouraging all businesses, residential homes, churches, organization and schools to participate in the Scarecrow/Fall decorating contest.
Voting will run Oct. 14-27. It is free to participate. You may register by visiting the website at www.dequincychamber.com
Contest rules are:
Decorate your porch or yard in fall with at least one scarecrow.
Must be visible from the street.
Visit www.dequincychamber.com to register.
Must be completed by Monday, Oct. 14.
Voting will begin Oct. 14 and end Oct. 27.
Voting will be done online.
Winners will be announced at Fall Festival on Thursday, Oct. 31.
