The DeQuincy Community ACTS Foundation will host their annual barbecue fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the DeQuincy Railroad Museum Park. Dinners include a quarter of Barbecue Chicken or a sausage hot link, rice dressing, baked beans, potato salad dessert and roll. In conjunction with the barbecue benefit, the weigh-in for DeQuincy Fishers of Men Trotline Tournament will be held at 3 p.m. at the DeQuincy Railroad Museum. The tournament runs Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 26-28.
Fishing rods and bank fishing are allowed. No hoop nets or wire nets allowed; hook and line only. Fish anywhere in Calcasieu Parish.
Jug lines, trot lines and limb lines are $40 a boat or $20 a person bank fishing.
