A Zavalla man and a Louisiana man died Wednesday night, Aug. 28, in a one-vehicle accident on FM 2109 near Zavalla, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Jeremy Sullivan, 29, of Zavalla, and his passenger, 21-year-old Jacob Goodfriend, of DeQuincy were pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Billy Ball, the report states.
Around 9:10 p.m., Sullivan was northbound in a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup when the vehicle left the road, struck a concrete culvert and overturned multiple times, according to the report.
