Thebner named new officer for DQPD

Jace Thebner, 26-year-old, from Moss Bluff, came to work for the DeQuincy Police Dept on Monday, July 1. Thebner is a graduate of Sam Houston High School. He further graduated from the Calcasieu Parish training Academy in April 2024 and went to work as a patrol officer for the Sulphur Police Dept.. Upon learning that the DQPD had an opening, he applied and was accepted. Thebner stated that he heard that the DQPD was a good organization to work for.

He stated that his goal was to be a career police officer, advance through the ranks, attend as many police schools as he can, and be an asset to the DQPD. He is a Christian and stated that he truly believes in the Lord Jesus Christ. When asked why he wanted to be a police officer, he stated that he believes in helping as many people as he can.

So, Jace is our newest police officer and the DQPD welcomes him into our family. We wish Jace the best and pray for his safety.
