Rev. Ronald Wayne Smith, 83, passed from this life Sunday, July 14, 2024, at his home in Conroe, Texas. He was born to Fred and Lois Smith on Mar. 3, 1941, in Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Joye Baldree Smith, their children, Kent and Tracie Smith of Conroe, Ken and Kay Burgess of Madrid Spain, David and Pam Smith of Marble Falls, Sharla Bartley of Corinth, and Myron and Kimberly Smith of Little Rock. Papaw left behind nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lois Smith; sisters, Felecia Anne Williams and Freddie Nell Walcott; granddaughter, Kayla Joye Bartley; and great-granddaughter, Annaleigh Sage Moreno.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of the homegoing service at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 18, at Conroe Church. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 19, at Rosevine Cemetery in Bronson, Texas.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
