Shirley Jean Langley, 74, of DeQuincy, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024. She was born to her late parents, Pete and Virginia King on July 3, 1950 in Houston, Texas. She loved the outdoors and tending to her plants, which she enjoyed. Shirley was truly a “neat freak” and everything always had a place. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Derrell Langley; along with her children, Sharon Gann (Robert), Sherry Burgman (Bill), Tony Rhodes, and Michael Langley; siblings, Barbara Glover, Peggy Glover, Oddie King, and Bubba King; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at Hargrove Bible Baptist Church in DeQuincy on Thursday, July 11, at 2 p.m., with Bro. Randy Henry and Bro. Paul Nugent officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly.
