Judy Reeves, 76, from Starks was carried gently into Jesus’ arms, her last and heavenly home on Wednesday June 26, 2024.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many, and lived a life of simplicity, finding joy in the little things. Judy loved going to the park, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
She is now reunited with her parents, Calvin and Mary; her husband of 58 years, James E. Reeves; son, James David Reeves; grandson, Brett; brother, Sammy; as well as many family and friends.
She is survived by her granddaughter and husband Jennifer and Rick Harris from Waller, Texas; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Kaylee, Cody, Madison, Mackenzie, Braelynn, and Brantley; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family received friends from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, at First Pentecostal Church, 225 Hwy. 109, Starks. Pastor Karl Smith officiated. Interment followed at VFW Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
