Fred Perkins was born Apr. 9, 1940, and passed away Sunday, Apr. 7, 2024, at the age of 83.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Deviney, and Jonathon Perkins; granddaughter, Kaylin Duhon; and great grandchildren, Bexlay Duhon and Raiden Duhon; brothers, Hamp Perkins and Shelton Perkins; and sisters, Janell Adams and husband Jack, Eva Rose Sauvaunt and husband Ray and Joye Faye Ruef and husband Bernard; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Perkins; parents, Curley and Helen Perkins; and brothers, Cecil Perkins, Willis Perkins, Hubert Perkins, Keith Perkins, and Kenneth Perkins; and sisters, Ethel Matthews and Carrie Lummus.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., Thursday, Apr. 11, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Roy Hoosier will officiate. Interment to follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
