ORDINANCE NO. 936
AN ORDINANCE TO
AMEND SECTION 3 – 2
OF ARTICLE I
OF CHAPTER 3
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, AS TO THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ON SUNDAY
WHEREAS, the City of DeQuincy desires to clarify the availability of alcoholic beverage permits for restaurants in accordance with the following provisions.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of DeQuincy, in legal session convened, that Section 3-2 of Article I of Chapter 3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of DeQuincy is hereby amended to repeal and replace to read as follows:
Section 3-2 – Sale on Sunday
The sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday is permitted.
Be it further ordained that all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.
Said Ordinance having been introduced on the 12th day of February 2024 and Ordinance considered, on motion by Scott Wylie, seconded by Jim Smith to adopt the Ordinance. A record vote was taken and the following result was had:

NAYS: 0
ABSENT: 0
This Ordinance was declared duly adopted on this 11th day of March 2024.
