South Beauregard High School Student Council is announcing their upcoming Parishwide event with hope you make plans to attend!
In 2016 and 2018, SBHS Student Council hosted the Beauregard Parish Special Olympics.
SBHS Student Council will be hosting their inaugural BRIGHT Day (Beauregard Reaching Inspiring and Giving Hope Together) on Thursday, Mar. 28. All high school student council clubs in Beauregard Parish, SBHS athletics and SBHS organizations have been invited to create a positive and engaging day for our Special Education students to Shine. SBHS will have inclusive track and field events, carnival games, and organized sports for students to participate in. All schools in Beauregard Parish have been invited to participate!
The vision for BRIGHT Day is to create a sense of community, establish connections and simply bridge the gap between our students. They believe that the impact on participants and volunteers will be lifelong and significant.
Many people have offered to help. The corporate sponsor is EXIT Real Estate Consultants. Shirt sponsors are: Outfitters Ink, Brett Geymann, Rise Up Behavior Therapy, and H2O Plumbing & Sewer. South Beauregard Elite and South Beau Sneaux Balls have made donations. Two photographers, Kari Stratton and Emilee Bowles, have volunteered to take pictures at the event.

Some opportunities to get involved are:
A company/church group/organization with a large pit/trailer to cook burgers.
A company/church group/organization to oversee lunch distribution. (around 5 people)
Donors to help offset/cover lunch costs for student participants and teachers/aides.
Donors to help offset/cover lunch costs for student and teacher volunteers.
Large tents to provide shade for participants.
Small toys/prizes to give participants for carnival games.
Any fun handouts for participants which can be your business logo.
