Blood drive, fundraisers to benefit Aultman

On Sunday Mar. 24, from 12-4 p.m. a LifeShare blood drive to benefit Chariti Mahaffey Aultman will be set up at The Crafty Caboose (across from Sam’s Tire) at 302 E 4th St. in DeQuincy. So come donate blood. All donations will be placed under Aultman’s name but all the blood will save so many more!
Donations in Chariti Mahaffey Aultman’s name are needed because the tumor is pushing against the main artery going to her lung. She is at a greater risk of needing a blood transfusion. MD Anderson needs blood donors and will give her a financial credit if you donate. You may donate at any local blood bank or MD Anderson’s blood bank. Just let them know you are donating for Aultman.

Fundraiser

Theresa Stanley has created an online raffle to raise $8000 for Chariti Mahaffey Aultman to have surgery for lung cancer on Monday, Mar. 25. At press time, nearly $5000 had been donated through community generousity in one week. That leaves a little of $3000 to meet the goal amount.

Jodi Kaye Bradshaw and Harley Bradshaw offered a “100 spots only” at $20 each raffle for a housecleaning and organization worth $500.

You pick the day and time! Go to Stanley’s Facebook page to donate; Aultman’s Venmo information is in comments.

Pick an open spot on the cleaning raffle with your name or the person you want to gift it to!

The last push to meet the goal is Thursday, Mar. 21. There will be Pastalaya plate lunch for $10 and a bake sale.

Also, there are $2 chances for two sacks of crawfish; girls basket raffle and drawings that day. You need not be present for drawings! Donations may be made at: https://gofund.me/ca639d1b
