David Allen Garrett, Jr. was born July 18, 1975 and passed away Thursday, Mar. 7, 2024 at the age of 48. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, drawing, and carpentry. Most of all he loved his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his spouse, Crystal Garrett; children, Dyllan Garrett, Jessica Taylor, Wyatt Garrett, and Dakota Dickman; grandchildren, Wendy and Kayla; parents, David Allen Garrett Sr. and Susan Garrett; siblings, Terry Garrett and wife, Kelsey, and Mark Garrett and wife Khristina; grandmother, Waldean Garrett; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sam Garrett; and sister-in-law, Stephanie Garrett.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. until time of the service at 11 a.m. Monday, Mar. 11, First Baptist Church, 644 State Hwy 272, Deweyville, Texas. Pastor Damon Bickham officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
