The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has lifted the burn ban for all of Calcasieu Parish, effective immediately.
The burn ban was issued on Feb. 26 because high winds and dry conditions were causing wildfires in the parish.
Residents are asked to use caution when doing any outdoor burning.
The Burn Ban for Beauregard Parish has been lifted. Residents are urged to exercise caution when burning outdoors. Do not burn during high winds and low humidity. Anytime you conduct a control burn, please call Fire Dispatch at 337-463-9542 and advise them of the location of your control burn to prevent unnecessary dispatch of fire department resources.
