Louise Theresa Crochet Doty died Friday, Mar. 1, 2024. She was 93 and living in Sulphur. She was born in Baker.
She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, taking Holy Communion. She served for several years as a bookkeeper for the church. She also worked at Olin Chemical as an accountant for many years.
She is survived by seven children, Homer (Rosie) Doty III of Lake Charles, Rhonda Sue (Frank) Doty Nance of Wimberley, Texas, Debbie Doty Cook of Sulphur, Patricia (Don) Doty Rougeau of Katy, Texas, Michael (Debbie) Doty of Ragley, David (Becky) Doty of Hathaway, and Robert (Gloria) Doty of Sulphur; 20 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanine Perry of The Woodlands, Texas and Billie Kuehn of Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Caldon and Mary Crochet; her husband, Homer Charles Doty, Jr.; and one sister.
Funeral services were officiated by Father Tim Goodly at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur beginning at 11 am. Interment followed at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
