The DeQuincy High Lady Tigers softball team traveled to Leesville on Tuesday, Feb. 27, and came home victorious beating the Lady Wampus Cats 9-1.
Top hitters on the night were Emily Cooley going 3 for 4 and Maddie Vinatieri went 2 for 4.
Lady Tigers Go 1-2 in Acadiana tournament
The DHS Lady Tigers traveled east to the Lafayette area of Broussard to play some of the best teams from across the state in the Acadiana tournament this past weekend, DeQuincy run ruled Delcambre 15-0 in 5 innings on Friday with Camry Richard hitting a 2 homer in the 3rd inning.
On Saturday, the Lady Tigers dropped both games to a couple of the states top 1A and 2A programs in Mangham and Montgomery.
Friday, Mar. 1 – DeQuincy 15 – Delcambre 0
Saturday, Mar. 2 – Mangham 6 – DeQuincy 5
Montgomery 10 – DeQuincy 0
