Help needed in identifying suspect in truck theft

Submitted by Major Jerry Bell, DQPD Chief of Detectives

On Sunday, Mar. 3, a local business owner reported the theft of his truck. Officer Keith Doyle was dispatched to the business. Apparently, person(s) unknown had entered the property through a back gate by pulling the gate open and breaking the lock. The suspect then drove the stolen truck out the gate onto Hereford St. and then went northbound on Green St. The DQPD dispatcher placed the stolen vehicle on NCIC. On the same day, the vehicle was recovered at a Walmart in Cleveland, Texas. Major Jerry Bell took the case, contacted the police in Cleveland and received more details. The owner was notified of the recovery of the vehicle.

A photo of the suspect was taken off a camera. If anyone recognizes the individual, contact Major Bell at 337-786-4000. A copy of the photo was sent to the Police Department in Cleveland, Texas.

Investigation continues into this matter.
