Suzanne “Sue” “Ms. Vige” Ramirez was born Mar. 28, 1942 and passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024 at the age of 81. Over the course of 28 years, she dedicated herself to educating students who knew her as “Ms. Vige”. She eventually established her own ironing business. Sue enjoyed bingo, dancing, and sewing. Most of all, Sue cherished and loved her family.
She is survived by her children, Elena Royer, Jimmy Charles Janice, Lynne Ann Fielder; grandchildren, Jacey Royer, Tyler Royer, Zoey Royer, DJ Tabb, Valerie Tabb, and Dustin Eubanks; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Young and wife Sherry; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Jamie Young.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, and continuing from 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Alvin Dale Smith will officiate. Interment to follow at Perkins Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
