Harry Flanagan, Jr.

Harry “Bubba” Clell Flanagan Jr., 58, of Orange, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024.

He was born Sept. 23, 1965, to Harry Flanagan Sr. and Pat Flanagan in Orange, Texas.

He was a West Orange-Stark graduate with the class of 1985.

Bubba loved his family something fierce. He also loved fast cars, building big block motors, left-handed cigarettes and nonetheless the most love for the Lord. He was a simple man with a lot to say rather you wanted to hear it or not. Bubba suffered a lot over the last couple years from throat cancer, but nonetheless he fought that fight till his last breath. It was a sad day to see our big, strong daddy go down this way, but our hearts are at peace knowing he is healthy and back together with some of his favorite people.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Alayce Glende and husband Jeff, Elizabeth Weston and husband Taylor; son, Jacob Scales and wife Krystal; grandchildren, Mattison, Ansleigh, Waylon, Branson, Stevie, Mila, Adleigh, Talon, and Rowyn; and sisters, Debbie Sanchez and Doris Twombly.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Marcus Flanagan and Joshua Scales; grandson, Ryker Scales; parents, Harry Flanagan Sr, and Pat Flanagan; his grandparents; uncles, Homer and Wendall Flanagan.
Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude for all care and patience during our dad’s last days on Earth. Gentiva Hospice RN Chris Jones and RN Chris Billeaud with Mid Jefferson Rehabilitation Hospital Beaumont.

The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. with the service at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 9, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 West Fourth St., DeQuincy.
