Norman Sephren Jinks, Jr. 87, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 in his hometown of Lake Charles. He was born in DeQuincy.
He graduated from Lagrange High School. He is a third generation mason who would go on to own his own bricklaying business that he would later pass on to his son and grandsons which they still own and operate to this day.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jane and Norman Jinks Sr.; wife, Karen, and one sister.
Survivor include his children, Keith (Donna) Jinks, Shawn (Kenneth) Parks, Kristi (Ray) Fontenot, and Nicole (Scott) Duplechin; sisters, Lillian Pauline Phillips, Norma Lee Brown; nine grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, Jan. 22, at South City Christian Church in Lake Charles.
Cremation arrangements were handled by Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles.
