Judy Brossette

Judy Arlene Brossette, 62, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

In high school, she was a Toreador. Later she worked at Cal-Cam Hospital and had a 25-year career as the “blonde lady at the post office.” She loved to work in the nursey at church.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Brossette. She also leaves behind two sons, Ryan Brossette and wife, Lauren of DeQuincy and Jeremy Brossette and wife, Brittany of Sulphur; and five grandchildren: her mother, Betty Bridges of Ruston; her brothers Wayne Bridges and wife, Stacy of Ruston and Gary Bridges and wife, Christy of Zwolle. Preceding her in death was her father, J.C. Bridges.

Her funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, in New Hope Baptist Church, 543 Marcantel Rd in DeQuincy. The Revs. Lamar Huffman, Charles Gibbs, and Wayne Bridges officiated. Burial followed in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
